Your Lord is sure to give you so much that you will be well satisfied

your Lord is sure to give you so much that you will be well satisfied.

Surah ad-Duha was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ during a difficult time in his life. His enemies had started to taunt him, saying that Allah had forsaken him. This was after revelation had stopped for a while, which only added to the Prophet’s distress.

In this surah, Allah comforts the Prophet ﷺ and assures him that He has not forsaken him. He reminds the Prophet of all the blessings that He has bestowed upon him, and He promises that He will make him happy very soon.

The Prophet ﷺ indeed faced many trials during this period. His loved ones were killed by his enemies, he was boycotted, he felt unsafe in his hometown, and he was eventually driven away. Yet he kept his faith in Allah, because he knew that the word of Allah is always true.

The fruits of the Prophet’s sacrifice materialized with the same people who had driven him away. After 15+ years, people from all over Arabia and beyond were rushing to accept Islam. And in the hereafter, the Prophet ﷺ will have the largest following of all the Prophets.

What we learn from this is that trusting Allah does not make the mountain smaller, but it makes the climb easier. He will make you happy after any trial you face.
