Is there a maximum amount an eligible person can receive in Zakāt?
A person who is eligible to receive Zakāt can be given Zakāt. However, it is discouraged and disliked to uncessarily give an eligible person so much Zakāt that he becomes owner of niṣāb or more, though Zakāt will be rendered valid. If an eligible person is given such an amount out of necessity, then it will not be disliked.
