The Heart of Eid al-Aḍḥā

The 10th of Ḍhul Ḥijjah marks Eid al-Aḍḥā, the first of the three days of uḍḥiyah (Qurbānī), when Muslims around the world offer a sacrifice in remembrance of a powerful moment in our spiritual history.

It commemorates the story of Prophet Ibrāhīm ‘alayhis-salām, who was commanded by Allāh to sacrifice his beloved son, Ismāīl ‘alayhis-salām. In absolute submission and trust, he was ready to fulfil the command. Seeing the depth of his sincerity, Allāh replaced his son with a ram.

Uḍḥiyah (Qurbānī) is the way of Prophet Ibrāhīm ‘alayhis-salām. Its essence is not in the meat or blood, but in the taqwā behind the act.

Eid ul-Aḍḥā is not just about sacrificing an animal, it is about sacrificing for Allāh and submitting to Him.

Taqwā, especially in the context of uḍḥiyah means:
🕋 Sacrifice – signing away your life for Allāh.
🕋 Submission – aligning your whole being, physically and spiritually, with the will of Allāh.

Live for Allah. Always give preference to His happiness. Make Him your constant focal point.

This Eid, reflect deeply:
✨What are you sacrificing for the sake of Allāh?
✨How fully are you submitting to Him?

May this Eid strengthen your taqwā, uplift your spirit of sacrifice, and renew your submission to Allāh.
