By Shaikh Muḥammad Ashraf ‘Alī (Allah have mercy on him)
[Rendered in to English by Mufti Sufyan]
He said[1] that I say with emphasis to my friends specifically and all the Muslims generally that to learn dīn[2] and to teach your children is farḍ ‘ayn[3] , whether that is through a book or through accompanying someone. Without this, there is no other way to save oneself from the religious trials[4] which are many in this day and age. Do not be ignorant or lazy in this regard.
