Abu Umamah Allah be pleased with him narrates that when the messenger of Allah, Allah send peace and blessings upon him would lift his dining sheet he would say

All praise is due to Allah, abundant, pure praise, full of blessings, (we ate this food thinking that) we cannot be without it nor independent of it, nor can we do without it, O Lord!

عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا رَفَعَ مَائِدَتَهُ قَالَ:
الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ، غَيْرَ مَكْفِيٍّ وَلاَ مُوَدَّعٍ وَلاَ مُسْتَغْنًى عَنْهُ، رَبَّنَا
