The Quran, as the divine word of Allah, is a precious gift for humanity. It’s more than just a book; it’s a source of guidance, comfort, and countless blessings. Every moment spent with the Quran brings us closer to Allah, filling our hearts with peace and our lives with purpose.
Imām Ibn Aṣ-Ṣalāḥ described this beautifully: “Reciting the Quran is a special gift from Allah. It’s a privilege that even the angels envy. They long to hear humans recite the words of Allah.”
Imagine that—the angels, pure and noble, yearning to hear us as we recite these divine words. What an honour it is to hold the Quran in our hands and let its verses flow from our lips.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ also spoke about the incredible blessings of gathering to remember Allah: “When people gather to remember Allah, they are surrounded by angels, covered in His mercy, and tranquility descends upon them. Allah Himself mentions them with favour to those closest to Him.” (Muslim)
Picture this: as you recite or listen to the Quran, angels gather around you, mercy envelops you, and your soul feels a deep sense of calm. It’s a moment of pure connection with your Creator.
Every letter of the Quran carries immense reward. The Prophet ﷺ assured us: “Whoever recites even a single letter from the Quran will receive a reward for it, and a reward ten times greater. I don’t mean that ‘Alif Lam Mim’ is a single letter, but rather that each letter – Alif, Lam, and Mim – is rewarded individually.” (Tirmidhī)
Isn’t that incredible? Even the smallest effort to recite the Quran is multiplied many times over. It’s as if Allah is encouraging us at every step to turn to His words.
But the blessings don’t stop at recitation. The Prophet ﷺ said: “The best of you are those who learn Quran and teach it.” (Bukhārī)
Imagine being among the best in the eyes of Allah—simply by learning the Quran and helping others connect with it. Teaching the Quran is like planting seeds of goodness that grow and benefit generations.
And for those who dedicate themselves to the Quran, the rewards continue into the Hereafter. The Prophet ﷺ said: “One who was devoted to the Quran will be told to recite it in the Hereafter. They should recite carefully, just as they did in this world. For their final resting place in Paradise will be determined by the last verse they recite.” (Abū Dāwūd)
Imagine standing in Paradise, reciting the Quran, each verse elevating you to greater heights—a reward beyond anything we can fathom.
The Quran is not just a book; it’s a living miracle, a light in the darkest moments, and a source of strength when we feel weak. It’s a companion that never leaves us, guiding us in this world and leading us to eternal joy in the next. Let’s cherish this gift, recite it with love, teach it with passion, and live by its guidance. May the Quran be our light in this world and our intercessor in the Hereafter.
