Answer
In the name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Most Merciful,
May Allah, the Almighty remove all types of calamities, harm, and evil from your house and family (Ameen).
I advice you and your family to recite the Manzil (at least once a day) . The Manzil is a collection of very effective verses from the Quran that have been proven through the experiences of our pious elders to protect from the evil eye, black magic, jinn etc. Remember! it (the Manzil) (likewise all other prayers/supplications) should be read with full concentration, firm belief and conviction to seek Allah, the Almighty’s protection. Please see the following link which consists of the Manzil:
Furthermore, you and your family should recite the whole of Surah al-Baqarah whilst in your house because it is recorded on the authority of Abu Hurayrah (Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“Verily, Shaytaan (the devil) does not enter the house where Surat al-Baqarah is recited”. (Muslim,Tirmidhi)
Moreover, make a habit of reciting the following, three times in the morning and three times in the evening because it has been narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that whoever recites the following three times in the morning and three times in the evening will not be harmed:
“بِسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ”.
“Bismillaahil-lathee laa yadhurru ma’as-mihi shay’un fil-‘ardhi wa laa fis-samaa’i wa Huwas-Samee ‘ul- ‘Aleem” .
“In the Name of Allah, Who with His Name nothing can cause harm in the earth nor in the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing”. (Abu Dawud , Tirmidhi , Ibn Majah)
Likewise, there are many other Duas (supplications/prayers) and verses of protection in Quran and Hadith. You and your family should make a habit of reciting them also. For the sake of brevity, I have sufficed on the above.
And Allah, the Almighty knows best
