Dua for the morning and evening

Dua for the morning

Dua for the evening

Abdullah ibn Masood Allah be pleased with him narrates that when the prophet of Allah, (Allah send peace and blessings upon him) would enter into the evening he would say:

We and the kingdom of Allah have entered into the evening belonging to Allah, all praise is due to Allah, there is none worthy of worship besides Allah alone and He has no partner.

One narrator, Hasan ibn Ubaydillah says that he thinks his teacher Ibrahim ibn Swaid also added the following,

Supreme authority and all praise belong to Him alone and He has power over everything

I ask You for the best of this night and the best of what is to come after it. I seek refuge in You from the worst of this night and the worst of what is to come after it. Oh my Lord! I seek refuge in You from laziness and becoming senile. Oh my Lord! I seek refuge in You from punishment in the fire and punishment in the grave.

And when he would enter into the morning he would say the same with the words:

We and the kingdom of Allah have entered the morning.
